Oh my god guys today is the BIGGEST day for Pakistan cricket! Like seriously BIGGEST! They play Namibia in their last group match and if they lose, they GO HOME! No Super 8, no nothing, just pack bags and cry on plane! The pressure is SO MUCH I can’t even eat my lunch properly! Let me explain everything!
So Pakistan started the tournament thinking “we are so strong, we will beat everyone!” They beat USA and Netherlands easily. Then came INDIA match on Sunday… and BOOM! India destroyed them by 61 runs! Pakistan made only 114 runs and looked clueless! My friend Ali who likes Pakistan didn’t talk to me for two days!
Now Pakistan has 4 points from 3 matches. USA also has 4 points but a better net run rate. So Pakistan MUST beat Namibia today to get 6 points and qualify! If they lose, the USA goes to Super 8 and Pakistan goes home! Simple as that!
Coach Mike Hesson said “win or go home” basically! He told players to forget India’s loss and focus. But can they?
Pakistan knew that if they sent Babar Azam in to bat, Namibia might gain the advantage.

Despite losing three wickets, they still chose not to send him in 👀#T20WorldCup pic.twitter.com/BxGsXLZjHs
Ohhhh the senior players are under SO MUCH scrutiny! That means everyone is watching them and saying bad things!
Babar Azam – oh no Babar! He only scored 5 runs against India and got out playing stupid shots. But the bigger problem is his strike rate against SPIN bowling. Since he came back to the T20 team, his strike rate against spinners is only 101.70! That means he scores 1 run per ball against spin – too slow in T20! In middle overs, you need to hit sixes but Babar just taps singles!
Shaheen Afridi – the big fast bowler! Against India, he bowled only 2 overs and gave 31 runs and took 1 wicket! That’s SO expensive! He couldn’t control the powerplay or death overs. Shaheen used to be scary but now batters are hitting him easily!
Reports say both might be DROPPED! Like actually not playing today! Can you imagine Pakistan without Babar and Shaheen? That’s CRAZY!
If Babar and Shaheen are dropped, these players might play:
Fakhar Zaman – big hitter! He can smash sixes from the first ball! Pakistan needs aggressive batting!
Salman Mirza – all-rounder! Can bat and bowl! Maybe bring balance!
Also Naseem Shah might come for Shaheen! Naseem bowls fast and accurately!
Selection is SO HARD! Management is confused! Too many changes or too few? What to do?
You know what’s funny? Pakistan has TOO MANY spinners! They bowled 13, 16 and 18 overs of spin in their three matches! That’s a LOT! But spinners didn’t win them matches. They are still searching for the right combination!
Against Namibia, the pitch in Colombo might help spinners. But Namibia also has good players of spin? I don’t know!
Namibia has lost all their matches – to India, USA, and someone else. They have 0 points and are already eliminated. So they are playing for pride only!
BUT – here’s the scary part – Namibia is co-hosting the ODI World Cup in 2027! So they want to build momentum for that! They want to prove they can compete! Teams with nothing to lose are DANGEROUS! Pakistan cannot be lazy!
Namibia has players like David Wiese (he played in IPL!) and Gerhard Erasmus (good captain). They can be surprised if Pakistan is careless!
Tonight India plays the Netherlands! But India already qualified with 3 wins! So they might rest players and try new things!
Abhishek Sharma – India’s No.1 batter hasn’t scored runs yet! He got sick before the Namibia match and missed the game. Now he needs batting practice before Super 8! The team wants him to spend time at the crease and get confidence!
Bowling changes – Kuldeep Yadav might be RESTED! Arshdeep Singh might come in! Arshdeep was an extra spinner against Pakistan but didn’t play. Now he might get a chance!
Bench strength – India might test backup players! Sanju Samson played one match and did well (22 runs in 8 balls!). Maybe more chances for youngsters!
Captain Suryakumar Yadav said they want to “tick boxes” before Super 8! That means try new combinations and see what works!
Pakistan knew that if they sent Babar Azam in to bat, Namibia might gain the advantage.

I think Pakistan will WIN today! They have to! Babar and Shaheen will be ANGRY and play well! Namibia is weak! Pakistan wins by 50+ runs!
India will also win easily against the Netherlands! Abhishek will score runs! Arshdeep will take wickets! India stays undefeated!
After today’s matches, we will know ALL Super 8 teams! Groups will be:
Group 1: India, Australia/West Indies, South Africa, ???
Group 2: Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, Pakistan (if they win!)
If Pakistan loses, the USA takes their spot! USA in Super 8! Imagine that!
At the same time, attention has shifted to other global leagues where on-field performance remains the sole focus. Sunrisers Eastern Cape’s strong run at the top of the SA20 points table, driven by crucial bonus wins, highlights how franchise cricket elsewhere continues to thrive amid stability and sporting clarity.

You know what I think? Pakistan is a STRONG team but they CHOKE under pressure! Babar is good but too slow! Shaheen is fast but inconsistent! Today they must PROVE themselves! No excuses!
My friend Ali is praying all day. He lit candles and everything! I told him “Pakistan will win, don’t worry!” But secretly I’m nervous too! Cricket is so stressful!
I will watch the match with popcorn and my India jersey! Let’s go to Pakistan? Wait I support India but today I want Pakistan to win so India vs Pakistan happens again! Is that allowed?
