P.V. Sindhu made it to the semifinals at the Malaysia Open Super 1000. She was up against Akane Yamaguchi of Japan. Yamaguchi was clearly not fully fit. Her knee was strapped, and movement was a problem from early on. After a few rallies, it became obvious she was struggling. Sindhu started fast.
